1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SORTL mobile application or website (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use SORTL.

2. Description of Service

SORTL is a personal life-administration assistant that helps users organize bills, receipts, contracts, warranties, and other documents using AI-powered extraction and reminders.

SORTL offers:

• A free tier with core document organization features.
• An optional paid subscription (“SORTL PRO”) with additional premium features.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use SORTL. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. User Accounts

To use SORTL, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your credentials.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. User Content

“User Content” includes any documents, images, PDFs, photos, or data you upload, forward, email, scan, or otherwise submit to SORTL.

You retain full ownership of your User Content. By using the Service, you grant SORTL a limited, non-exclusive license to process your documents solely to:

• Extract information.
• Provide reminders and insights.
• Improve Service functionality.

We do NOT use your documents to train third-party AI models.

6. Paid Subscriptions (SORTL PRO)

SORTL PRO is an optional paid subscription offering additional features.

a. Billing

Subscriptions are billed through:

• Apple App Store (for iOS users)
• Google Play Store (for Android users)

SORTL does not directly process or store payment information.

b. Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.

c. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time through:

• App Store → Subscriptions
• Google Play → Payments & Subscriptions

We cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf.

d. Refunds

Refunds are subject to Apple and Google Play policies. SORTL does not issue refunds directly.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload illegal content.
• Use the Service to commit fraud.
• Reverse-engineer the app.
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep SORTL online and reliable, but we do not guarantee:

• That the Service will always be available.
• That reminders will always be delivered on time.
• That documents will always process correctly.

We may update or discontinue features at any time.

9. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using industry-standard encryption. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

10. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time inside the app. When deleted:

• All documents and extracted metadata are permanently erased within 30 days.
• This action cannot be undone.

11. Third-Party Services

SORTL integrates with services such as:

• Email providers
• WhatsApp (user-initiated forwarding only)
• Apple App Store / Google Play Billing

SORTL is not responsible for outages or issues caused by third-party platforms.

12. Limitation of Liability

SORTL is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SORTL shall not be liable for:

• Loss of data
• Missed reminders
• Financial losses or penalties
• Service interruptions

Your use of SORTL is at your own risk.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or website. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, unless otherwise required by local law.
